The final meeting of Cantonese Club this year was full of flavour! The students chose to make food from Hong Kong. On the menu were spring rolls, fish balls in broth, gyoza and pineapple buns, amongst other delicious dishes. The delicious aromas drew some members of staff along the corridor to find out what was cooking and a few lucky individuals got to try the culinary delights.
The club was also supported by Year 11 students who came back to help cook, despite having finished their GCSEs and broken up for the summer. Mrs O Shea very kindly provided the expert guidance and assistance, as students were practising some advanced cooking skills, such as frying in very hot oil. As a result, some truly delicious dishes were created and we all got to experience a taste of Hong Kong!
