Teacher Training - The Compton SCITT Partnership
Applications to start in September 2020 open on UCAS from October 8th 2019
The Compton SCITT is an Outstanding Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provider (Ofsted 2017). The continuing professional development of staff has been at the heart of our sustained success as an Ofsted graded Outstanding Teaching School (2018). We have an excellent track record in training, retaining and developing staff as outstanding classroom practitioners, middle and senior leaders. The Compton SCITT has been training teachers for 5 years and is well established in producing excellent teachers. 100% of trainees have secured employment and have embarked on a most fantastic and rewarding career.
Our trainee teachers train alongside The Compton SCITT's outstanding staff all year before qualifying as teachers. Senior teachers from The Compton School and across the partnership, who are working on national programmes of education and regularly training teachers from across the UK, deliver first class training in school each week. This ensures our trainee teachers are receiving the best and most current education and theory practice.
Our strap line states that “trainees will receive an immersive training programme where they are working alongside outstanding teachers with current and relevant experience.”
We believe that our school based route to qualified teacher status will offer you an in-depth opportunity to work in a systematic, sustained way alongside outstanding teachers
Above all, we are committed to delivering a first class “hands on” training programme that will provide you with the foundations for an outstanding career in teaching.
