Year 9

Subject Information
Art Go to your teacher's MS Teams page where you will find every lesson and accompanying PowerPoint. These can be found in the files section for each individual class. Any students who do not have their workbooks should complete the work on paper, in PowerPoint or by printing a copy of the relevant workbook page out; this can be found alongside the lesson resources.
Drama You will be set a task through SMHW for each lesson.
Design Technology Go to your teacher's MS Teams room where you will find lessons uploaded to "class materials". Students should complete work in their workbooks, on plain paper or powerpoint and upload a photo of their work via SMHW for feedback. If you complete this work, please visit BBC Bitesize, Seneca or YouTube to explore the theory learnt in more detail alongside information on practical skills.
English Go to this website https://classroom.thenational.academy/subjects-by-key-stage/key-stage-3/subjects/english and complete one of the GRAMMAR lessons. You will see "Grammar" written in the top left hand corner of the boxes. If you have any questions, message your teacher through SMHW. Homework will be set as usual through SMHW - please complete any tasks that have been set.
French

Spring 2: Homework will continue to be set on SMHW, which students should be completing alongside the normal curriculum work.

In line with the 'Bon Appetit' unit of work:

Use www.linguascope.com (you should have the log-in details written in your books or learning journals. If you still need this information, please contact your teacher).

Beginner – French flag – L’alimentation – complete all topics in this section as part of the food & drink unit: Les fruits / Les légumes / Le petit déjeuner / Les snacks / Les ustensiles de cuisine.

Start with ‘Présentation’, then do the activities, then the ‘Contrôle final’, and if possible complete the worksheet by selecting ‘Imprime une fiche’. Copy the vocabulary for each topic into your book.

Use www.languagesonline.org.uk . Click on ‘Français’, scroll down to ‘Frist Year Learning (Encore Tricolore 1)’, then ‘Unité 9’, complete activities: 1 – 38, Extension: activities 39 – 45.

Geography Please go to your teacher's MS Teams Page where you will find lessons and videos posted by your teacher. Work will also be set through SMHW
History Go to your teacher's MS Teams page to find the work that has been set for each lesson. The link to this can also be found through SMHW. You need to submit the work completed and homework completed through SMHW.
Literacy Continue to read a book within your ZPD for 30 minutes a day. When you finish the book, go to the Accelerated Reader website (the school website > Students > Accelerated Reader) and take a quiz on your book. Look for your class quiz deadlines on Show My Homework. Any questions please message your teacher on Show My Homework.
Maths
  Go to your teacher's MS Teams page to find the work that has been set for each lesson.
Music You will receive links to the Music Department YouTube channel which will be set as classwork.  You should use this to engage with work at home. Further work and links can be found in the Music MS Teams page.
PE You will be set one piece of theory per unit of work which will be available for student completion via MS TEAMS. You should go to the "Assignments" function to complete and submit. Class teachers will communicate with you via SMHW to provide task instructions and links to practical activity / exercise tasks.

Science
  Go to bbc.co.uk/bitesize, then click 'Secondary' > 'England' > KS3 > Science then find the topic you are learning. Use your exercise book or the last task set on SMHW to decide which topic to learn. Read the info and put the key points in your book if you have it or on paper. Take the Bitesize quiz and watch the videos if there are any. If you need more help you can also find the lesson on Oak National Academy. Google it then navigate to the same topic. Next, find your e-learning logins on p55 of your planner. Log onto senecalearning.com - within your science class go to the 'KS3 Science' course. Select a Biology, Chemistry or Physics topic from the left-hand menu and then 'Start learning'. Afterwards, go to educake.co.uk and login. Complete any tests that your teacher has set in the last fortnight in the orange section at the top. If you don't have any due or you finish this, scroll down to the purple Key Stage 3 Science section. Choose 'Set yourself a test' and find the topic you have been learning most recently in class. Do 15 questions on this topic. Repeat until you score at least 70%. Do the same for another topic of your choice. Spanish Use www.linguascope.com  Click on beginner/Spanish/El ocio/and practise with these 2 topics: 1. Los eportes de interior 2. Los deportes al, aire libre https://www.languagesonline.org.uk/Spanish/Caminos Book 2/ Unidad 2 and complete Activities 1 to 9, on the topic of sports until you feel confident with vocabulary for sports and conjugating verbs JUGAR and PRACTICAR. Use www.linguascope.com Click on beginner/Spanish/El ocio/and practise with these 2 topics: 1. Los pasatimepos https://www.languagesonline.org.uk/Spanish/Caminos Book 2/ Unidad 2 and complete Activities 10 to 22, on the topic of free time activities until you feel confident with vocabulary for free time activities and conjugating verbs. ttps://www.languagesonline.org.uk/Spanish/Grammar/ and complete ALL activities on Present Tense. Once you are confident with these, move on to Present Tense 2, where you will be able to practise verb conjugations for both regular and irregular verbs.
