Celebrating World Ocean Day in Citizens ClubPosted on: 17/06/2022
This week in Global Citizens we celebrated World Ocean Day which took place on Wednesday 8th June. Our KS3 geographers researched why World Ocean Day is important and the small steps we can all take to help protect and conserve our glorious oceans. Some suggestions include:
• "Recycling our plastic when we can" Kourtney 7P
• "Conserving water by turning taps off and not being wasteful during dry periods" Fran 7C
• "Support ocean clean up charities or organise your own community clean up" Abdurahman 8C
On the 30th June, Global Citizens Club will be travelling to Coppetts Wood Nature Reserve to participate in a Nature Walk and clean up. If you are keen to get involved please speak to Miss Kibblewhite in HT4.
